Handmade Cards Featuring the Hexi-Gems Collection from Spellbinders!

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm sharing two cards created with items from the new Hexi-Gems Collection from Spellbinders!

My first card was inspired by Summer and I used several shades of blue paper and bold red cardstock. I also created a plaid background with the Plaid Company Embossing Folder. I love the way the textured background looks with the layered Hexi-Gems! This Americana color theme is perfect as we head into the Summer!

The second card was inspired by my husband and his love for his Scottish roots and plaid everything. I used Black Glimmer Hot Foil on metallic cream paper for the floral arrangement and added layers of black, gold, and red paper to coordinate with the plaid background.

For the sentiment, I used the new Hexi-Gem Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to add a foiled greeting to both cards. The best part of this sentiment set is that you can hot foil a bunch of sentiment strips and the coordinating die cuts them all out at one time, this save so much time!

I hope you enjoyed a peek at the new Hexi-Gems Collection and are inspired to create with the fun Glimmer Hot Foil plates from Spellbinders!

Thanks for checking out my project and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

My Favorite Things Card Featuring Spellbinders Glimmer Plates!

Happy Friday Friends!
Tasha here sharing two new cards created with the fun "All of My Favorite Things" Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Spellbinders!

My first card is a colorful design perfect for Spring and Summer! I used a Rainbow Glimmer Hot Foil to the sentiment and attached layers of bright pattern paper. I love the purple and green color combination, so pretty!

To bring in more rainbow color, I attached a bold pink card base and several pink glitter enamel dots. It's fun to play with colors and the Glimmer Foil really adds a beautiful finished look to your project, I just love it!

The second card is a similar style, but a different color palette. I went with Red, White, Blue, and Silver for this design and Black Glimmer Hot Foil. The black foil has quickly become one of my favorites and it gives a modern look to projects. I also enjoy using the White Hot Foil which is an alternative to embossing on dark paper.

The bold dark letters pop on the bright white paper, and I love the Patriotic paper layers! I also added enamel dots to complete this project, but went with solid black to coordinate with the greeting.

I hope you enjoyed today's cards and are inspired to create a foiled card. If you have not tried Glimmer Hot Foiling yet, I highly recommend you give it a try. Once I started, I just could not stop and I'm amazed each time I pull trefoil up to reveal a stunning design!

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Nailed It! Card Featuring the Nailed It! Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Spellbinders!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm sharing a toolbox themed card featuring the cool new Nailed It! Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Spellbinders! This Glimmer Plate is from the Toolbox Essentials Collection by Nancy McCabe and is perfect for birthday cards, Thank You cards, and Father's Day projects!

This set includes two plates. One that has all the tools and a small "Nailed It!" sentiment.  I like that the greeting is a separate plate, so you can use it with the tools, or you can pick any greeting to use with the tool set.

To complete the card, I added layers of dark red cardstock and a piece of metal-looking pattern paper that coordinates with the tool shop theme. I LOVE this foiled design and look forward to creating more tool-themed cards!

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

The next card also used the the "Thanks Enclosed Sentiments Etched Dies" and "Four Petal Bloom Reflection Etched Dies" but has a totally different look. I wanted to create an elegant card  and used metallic gold paper to cut the floral die. I love how the red, green, and gold colors look together!

Hi friends and welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm sharing a birthday card created with items from Spellbinders Paper Arts! I used the new Birthday Basics Stamp Set by Simon Hurley for this project and the large cake stamp is just perfect!

I like to have lots of pre-made birthday cards on hand and this set with the coordinating die set makes it so easy to make cute and quick cards! I stamped the cake with black ink and used Copic Markers for the coloring; I love these colors!!!

A Gift For You Card Featuring The Spellbinders Floral Reflection Etched Dies!

Happy Friday!
Tasha here sharing a vibrant card created with the new Spellbinders Floral Reflection Etched Dies. The layered flowers are so pretty and I like that you can customize your design by mixing the layered pieces.
For my card, I cut the base floral piece with lime green card stock and added bright colorful flower petals. For more detail, I glued clear gems to the centers of some of the flowers and used a gel pen to add little accents. I love the etched detail!
Since the background is black, the colors really pop and I thought the sentiment should pop too. I stamped "A Gift For You" and embossed it with white so it would stand out. I think embossing really adds a cool look to projects, especially white on dark paper.

Lastly, I added white enamel dots and layers of hot pink and gold paper before adhering the card to a black card base. These colors are eye-catching and I'm looking forward to sending it to someone special!

I hope you enjoyed today's card and be sure to check out the entire Floral Reflection Collection in the Spellbinders Paper Arts Shop!

Foiled Holiday Cards Featuring Spellbinders Paper Arts and Simon Hurley Stamps!

Good morning friends!
Tasha here sharing two new foiled holiday cards created with Spellbinders Glimmer Plates and the new Folk Art Ornaments Stamp and Die Bundle from Simon Hurley.
My first project is a colorful modern design perfect for Christmas or Winter. I love the bright silver snowflakes and the pop of pink color! The stamped ornament from the Simon Hurley Folk Art Ornaments Set and I used rhinestones to add shimmer to the center and top. I love the pretty floral design!

The beautiful snowflake pattern was created with the Spellbinders Snowflake Sparkle Background and silver Glimmer Foil. Lastly, I used black Glimmer Foil on pink paper for the "Merry & Bright" sentiment. The greeting is from the Yana's Christmas Sentiments Hot Foil Plates.

The second card also features the new Folk Art Ornaments Stamp and Die Bundle from Simon Hurley. The background was created with the new Geo Snowflakes Glimmer Hot Foil Plates and silver foil on teal paper.
The ornaments and pine branch was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used foam tape to raise the images up after cutting them with the coordinating dies. The red and teal color combination is so festive and the design really pops with the white details!

Lastly, I attached layers of red and silver glitter paper and added a foiled "Merry Christmas" greeting to complete the design.

I hope you enjoyed today's cards and are having a wonderful day!
