..........................................................................................
For my project, I created a summer sea-themed birthday card using the Surprise Ball Pop-Up die set and the cute D2BA Seas the Day stamp set.
The greeting was created with the KB Riley Word Set 4-Just a Note. I cut the letters out of white card stock so they would pop against the teal paper. The little stars were cut using an accent die included with the Surprise Ball set and the gold glitter card stock added tons of sparkle!
After you pull up the greeting, the surprise ball emerges. The ball is really easy to make once you get the steps down and you can add a brad on the bottom (That's what I did) to have it spin around. So, not only do you have a ball pop up, it moves! :)
The little sea creatures were all stamped with D2BA Totally Black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used liquid glue on the ball and to attached the stamped images. I found that glue worked the best and gave you a little time to get each piece exactly where you wanted it to be.
I also, stamped "Happy Birthday" in the center with the same ink. All of the panels were cut from D2BA wave pattern paper and the Surprise Ball set comes with 6 panel dies, so you can get your cutting done quickly.
Lastly, I used the brad to attach the decorated surprise ball to the card and attached the bottom layers to the card base. I think this sea-themed birthday card is going to make someone happy and that is my favorite part about making handmade cards!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying this hop!

.......................SURPRISE BALL INSTRUCTIONS................................
..............................................SUPPLIES USED...........................................
.......................SURPRISE BALL INSTRUCTIONS................................
STEP 1) With the large die, cut x2 base pieces.
STEP 2) Fold all the scored tabs and glue the large support tabs.
STEP 3) Glue two of the tabs together to connect the base layers.
Make sure the slit is on the same side.
STEP 4) Place the rubber band through the glued layer.
Optional Step) If you want the surprise ball to spin, place a brad in one layer.
STEP 5) Glue the matching tabs together working your way to the second cut tab. Go in the opposite direction of the second opening so you have room to easily connect the rubber band. After you finish gluing, you can decorate and attach it to your project.
