Happy Father's Day!

Happy Friday Friends!

Tasha here sharing a Father's Day card featuring the 5406 -Mr. Set from Art Impressions. This sharp-dressed gentleman is ready for summer and has his hammer in hand to tackle any project!

I stamped the man, hammer, and tool belt, then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The hand die includes an opening to hold the hammer, and I customized the tool belt by removing the tape measure for a unique look.

For the background, I added an embossed floor with silver metallic wax on black cardstock and a brick pattern to complement the handyman theme. To finish the card, I layered tan, cream, and brown cardstock with a piece of Art Impressions plaid paper. I love how these colors and patterns come together for a fun masculine design.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Beary sweet Father’s Day card

 Happy Friday!

Tasha here, and I’m excited to share a beary sweet Father’s Day card using the adorable new 6064-WC Bear Set and 6063-Just For Him Set from Art Impressions; just in time for Sunday!

For this card, I started by stamping the baby bear first, then masked him off so Papa Bear could stand behind him; just like a big bear hug moment! With both bears masked, I brought the background to life using the 4960-WC Fir Trees Set(these trees are one of my favorites!). I stenciled yellow clouds and added yellow ink to the trees to give the effect of sunshine streaming through; so warm and cheerful!

To frame the scene, I used the 5135-Hexagon Double Stitched Dies for a fun focal point. The sentiment “Dad, You’re the Beary Best!” combines a greeting from the Bear Set and the word “Dad” from the Just For Him Set; plus a cute little paw print for extra charm!

I finished the card with layers of green, white, and gray cardstock and a fun tree print from the new 6072-Father’s Day Paper Pack.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Par-fect Father’s Day Card!

 Hi friends!

Tasha here sharing a fun new Father’s Day card inspired by the current Art Impressions Challenge.

For this project, I used the Art Impressions 4902 -Par-Tee Golfers Set; one of my favorites for making golf-themed cards. This dad is all geared up for some time on the course, and I think it's such a fun and playful image for Father's Day.

I started by stamping the golfer with black hybrid ink and colored him in using alcohol markers. After coloring, I brought out the brand-new 6047-Scalloped Squares Dies to cut out the center image and frame. I’m a huge fan of square cards, so I was super excited to use this new nesting die set!

To pull everything together, I added a plaid patterned paper background and layered it with green, white, and tan cardstock. I kept the color palette masculine to coordinate with the shades I used on the golfer’s outfit and his golf cart; these colors give it a classic feel.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out today’s card! I hope you’re feeling inspired to create something special for the dads in your life.

Have a wonderful day!

Keepin' it Reel!

Hi Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card featuring the fun new 5926 - Fishing Boat Set from Art Impressions. This fish themed set is perfect as we head into Summer and makes a great Father's Day card! The little fisherman looks so happy driving his boat and I love all the accessories!

For this card, I created a stenciled background using Distress Oxide Inks and stamped "Let's Go Fishing!" with black ink on to the water. I think the layered waves look awesome with the different shades of blue ink and the green trees reminds me of boating on a lake in Wisconsin; I love lakes!

To create the decorated fishing boat, I stamped the boat, fisherman, and his accessories with black ink and cut the images out using the included dies. I like that the dies cut openings for the windows to allow the fisherman to look as if he is driving the boat and waving as he cruises down the water. You can also totally customize the project since there are several different accessories you can mix and match, so each card can have a different look.

Lastly, I added layers of brown card stock and brown plaid paper to complete the card. I hope you enjoyed today's project and are having a wonderful day!

Happy Summer Card!

 Happy Friday!

Tasha here sharing a Summer themed card created with the super fun 5406 - Mr. Set from Art Impressions. This guy looks awesome with this chef hat and spatula, and is ready to kick summer off with some grill time!

I started by stamping the guy and his accessories with black ink and used the included die set to cut the images out. I love that the dies cut a perfect opening for the hat to be placed on his head and the spatula in his hand. For the coloring, I used markers and a festive red, white & blue color combination; I was inspired by the 4th of July!

For the background, I used a plaid pattern paper and cut grass from green pattern paper. I thought the plaid worked well on a masculine card and the colors coordinated with his outfit. He looks so happy!

Lastly, I attached a "Happy Summer" sentiment and added layers of red card stock and silver glitter paper. The sparkle is so pretty and the glitter goes with the current Art Impressions Challenge.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a wonderful day!

Nailed It!

Happy Friday Friends!

Tasha here sharing a new masculine card created with the fun 5406 - Mr. Set from Art Impressions.  This stamp set includes several hats and accessory items to customize your card or project, but this handyman outfit is so cute for a birthday card or Father's Day card.

For the card, I stamped the main image, hammer, tool belt, and hat before using the included dies to cut the images out. To create the cap, I stamped the hat with antlers and just cut the antlers off. My husband loves to wear hats and this guy totally reminds me of him when he is about to tackle a home project.

The greeting "Nailed It!" was also included in the set and I embossed it directly on to the wooden floor. The white color pops against the dark brown. I love embossing white lettering on projects.

Lastly, I created a background with brick pattern paper and used markers for the floor. I also attached layers of black paper, brown paper, and bright green paper to coordinate with the colors used on the man's outfit. I think this card turned out great and look forward to making more cards with the 5406 - Mr. Set.

Hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a wonderful day!

Relax and Enjoy Your Day!

Happy Friday!

Tasha here, excited to share my first card of 2024 with you all! Art Impressions offers a tons of fantastic birthday stamp sets, and for today's creation, I chose a charming image of a guy lounging in his recliner.

To begin, I stamped the main image from the 5421 - Sit Back Laugh Lines Set on to white card stock and masking paper. This masking paper allowed me to cover our laid-back guy before working on the cool background. There's something incredibly satisfying about peeling away the masking paper to unveil a pristine image underneath, isn't there?

Lastly, for the greeting, I opted for a layered "Happy Birthday" sentiment. Cutting the words from coordinating paper colors added a delightful pop to the card. The blue and white against the stenciled brick wall background created a visually striking effect that I absolutely love.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a great day!

To the Birthday Boy Card Featuring Art Impressions Stamps!

 Happy Friday!

Tasha here sharing a new card created with the 5044 - Born To Ride Set from Art Impressions. This stamp set is perfect for Father's Day, masculine birthday cards and projects. I just love this biker stamp!

The image was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I wanted it to look like the biker was cruising down the road on a warm Summer day, so I drew in a road and added some grass.

Also, since it's almost time for the 4th of July, I thought it would be fun to add an Americana theme to the design. To do this, I colored the bike red, used red, white & blue colors on his bandana, and I attached a festive star pattern paper. I just love these colors!

This stamp set includes several sentiments, but I used the "To the Birthday Boy" greeting from the 5735-Birthday Sentiment Set. I think this birthday set has become my go to for cards and love that it includes a masculine greeting.

To complete the card, I attached several white enamel dots and layers of red cardstock and silver foil paper. When I think of motorcycles, I think of shiny chrome, so the silver foil totally goes with the biker theme.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Lawn Ranger Card Featuring Art Impressions Stamps!

 Happy Friday!

Tasha here sharing a card created with the fun 5044 - Born To Ride Set from Art Impressions. This set reminds me of my husband when he mows our lawn with his green riding mower and I love all the sentiments!

I started by stamping the main image with black ink and colored him with Copic Markers. After, I used the same markers to color the grass. I wanted it to look like he was mowing the lawn, so I used several shades of green to make it look like the grass was long in front of the mower.

For the greetings, I added the word "Vroom!" on the bottom of the card and "I love you Mower each day" on a small banner. I also added a tiny heart to the banner to go with the top sentiment.

Lastly, I added fluffy clouds to the sky to make it look like a beautiful Spring or Summer day and attached blue and yellow card stock to complete the design.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Nailed It! Card Featuring the Nailed It! Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Spellbinders!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm sharing a toolbox themed card featuring the cool new Nailed It! Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Spellbinders! This Glimmer Plate is from the Toolbox Essentials Collection by Nancy McCabe and is perfect for birthday cards, Thank You cards, and Father's Day projects!

This set includes two plates. One that has all the tools and a small "Nailed It!" sentiment.  I like that the greeting is a separate plate, so you can use it with the tools, or you can pick any greeting to use with the tool set.

To complete the card, I added layers of dark red cardstock and a piece of metal-looking pattern paper that coordinates with the tool shop theme. I LOVE this foiled design and look forward to creating more tool-themed cards!

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Here's Tool You Cards Featuring Art Impressions Stamps!

 Happy Friday!

Tasha here sharing three new cards created with the new 5729 - Tool Shed MB Set from Art Impressions! I am a big fan of the Ai matchbook sets and was so excited for this tool shed theme!

My first card has a red and teal color combination and I used paper from the 5606-Harvest Journal Paper Pack for the card base. I thought this pattern went well with the tool shed theme and I love the color!

For the second card I made the base out of wood pattern paper to make it look like a shed. Since the wood background is dark gray, I colored the tools with bright colors to allow them to pop against the dark background. I love the bright green, blue, and yellow colors!
The third card is my favorite! I made a girly themed tool shed, because girls are handy too! The base was created with pink plaid paper from the 5606-Harvest Journal Paper Pack, this paper collection is fabulous! I also attached a wood pattern paper to the floor to separate it from the walls. I would totally have these colors if I had a tool shed!
I hope you enjoyed today's projects and are inspired to create a matchbook card with the new 5729 - Tool Shed MB!

Have a wonderful day!
