Bulldog Coffee Mug

Good morning and welcome to my blog!

Sharing a coffee themed card today created with the new Bulldog Coffee Mug digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas.

The card's background was created with metallic watercolors and cut with a fancy frame to give the pretty scalloped edge. I love all the shimmer from the pastel paint colors!!!

The cute little coffee mug was printed on white card stock and colored with alcohol markers. I added some clear glitter on top and embellished with white gel pen for additional sparkle. The mug was then adhered to the card with foam tape to add some dimension. 

Lastly, I added some star sequins from the "Fairy Dust" sequin mix and used orange plaid paper to bring in a pop of color behind the card. The card was then attached to a white card base to complete the design.

Bulldog Coffee Mug

Hive a BEEutiful Mother's Day!

Hi friends and Happy Mother's Day!

Today I'm sharing a cheerful bee themed Mother's Day card created with the super cute Bee Cake digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas!

The sweet bee cake image was colored with markers and layered on a fun honeycomb pattern paper. To add sparkle, I used layers of teal glitter paper. I love the yellow and teal color combination!

Lastly, the sentiment "Hive a BEEutiful Mother's Day!" was a typed in a golden yellow font color. You can always create your own sentiments for cards and projects to extend your stamp collection, and this bee themed greeting works great with the happy cake.

Hive a BEEutiful Mother's Day!

CDD Design Team Project: Outer Space Themed Treat Bag

Hi everyone!

This month is just flying by and it's already time for another fun new Craftin Desert Divas design team project share!

Today's project was created with the CDD Treat Bag die set and awesome Outer Space Digital Stamp.

To give a space look, I used black glitter cardstock on the front and created the bag with dark gray paper. The glitter looks like outer space and the little sparkles resemble stars; so fun!

The printed paper was created with the "UFO" digi and random pops of color. I used a coordinating scalloped frame die include in the treat bag set to cut the center out and added a pretty gold glitter star; also included in the treat bag set.

The little alien image was colored with markers and layered with foam tape on to the center paper. This little guy is my favorite character from the Outer Space Digi Set and think it's perfect for a treat bag!

Lastly, a coordinating gold glitter scalloped edge was added to the bottom of the bag and I filled the bag with candy. This bag is the perfect size for a gift card, candy, or for fun little treats.

CDD Design Team Project: Outer Space Themed Treat Bag

Have An Out Of This World Birthday!

Good morning and welcome back to my blog!

So excited to share this space themed birthday card with you today created with the fun Outer Space Digital Stamp Set from Craftin Desert Divas!

The background was created in Photoshop with ombre blue paint color. To add to the outer space design, I created a planet in one corner. The pops of colors gives a textured look and a moon-like look; love it!

The sentiment "Have An Out Of This World Birthday" was printed in white and looks awesome on the dark blue. Two enamel stars were added to bring in more white and the stars totally work with the space theme. I also inserted the cute alien pet image on the opposite corner. He looks like he's just flying bye to jump into the picture and send a birthday wish.

This fun rocket packed alien looks adventurous flying above the nearby planet to greet his friend. He was colored with markers and layered on the card with foam tape. I have been loving pre-cutting my images and playing with them on the layout before attaching them. This makes it so simple to plan out the scene.

The last alien is this character in the little spaceship. He's zooming by meeting up with his friend; loving this guy's eyes!!!

Lastly, I used the Fancy Frames Die Set to cut a scalloped layer out of purple glitter paper. I also used a second piece of glitter paper in green to use as a base layer. This adds tons of sparkle completes the card design.

Have An Out Of This World Birthday!

My Favorite Earthling!

Good morning and Happy Saturday! 

Sharing a new space themed card today created with the super cute Outer Space Digi Set from Craftin Desert Divas!

I just love the fun alien images included in this digi set and could not wait to make a card with this space girl image! She was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I added tons of glitter and accented her hair with white gel pen. I think the white makes the hair look like it's sparkling! 

The sentiment " To My Favorite Earthling" was printed in an ombre font color on to a black background. The colors coordinated with the pink and blue used on the image and the black gave the outer space feel to the card.

To complete the look, I used the large heart from the Nested Heart Die Set and large square from the Inside Scalloped Square Die Set to create two frames. Both were cut from glitter paper and layered on a starry sky pattern paper. 

Lastly, I adhered a few gold glitter enamel dots to the center and attached the space girl image with foam tape. The card was then layered on dark teal cardstock and attached to a bright white 110lb. card base.

My Favorite Earthling!

Hello Spring

Hi Friends!

Today's card was inspired by all the cheerful springtime colors in this month's Craftin Desert Divas Mood Board Challenge. I just can't wait for spring weather to arrive, but since it has been a snowy weekend here in Wisconsin, I may be waiting a bit longer for warm spring days to come around.

The digi used was "Joyful Ride" from Craftin Desert Divas. This image is one of my favorite digital stamps and I have used it on several projects, but still enjoy coloring and creating with it. I colored the image with markers and added gold glitter pen for shimmer; I love glitter!!!!

I had this sun pattern paper for a while, and thought it was perfect for a spring card. The bright yellow rays make the card warm and "Joyful"!

To keep the card Clean & Simple, I stamped the "Hello" right on to the center of the sun in a brown ink. I thought black would be too dark, but the brown works great! 

The pattern paper was cut with the large scalloped rectangle frame die (Another one of my favorites!) and layered on light gold glitter cardstock for additional sparkle. 

Lastly, I added a few light teal enamel dots around the sentiment for added texture and layered the design on a pastel green card base. I can't wait to send this card out to someone special!

Magic and Unicorns

Good evening all!

So excited to share this card created with the fun Unicorn Potter Cake digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas! This digi combines two of my favorite things; unicorns and the wizarding world!

For my card, I printed the image on bright white 80lb cardstock and colored it with alcohol markers. I added tons of glitter to make the unicorn sparkle!

The sentiment included in the set is "Be The Magic" and I printed it with colors that went perfectly with both the image and the pattern paper layers. To add more detail to the layers, I used my favorite "Fancy Frames" die set' love this set!!!

To complete the design, I added a gold glitter layer and Distress Oxide ink around the banner. The card base is ivory and the the ink blending looked great with all the golden tones.
