D2BA and My Sweet Petunia Collaboration Hop

Hello and welcome to my stop on the D2BA and My Sweet Petunia Collab Hop!
For my project, I created a Fall themed card using the Misti and stamps from Dare 2B Artzy

To begin, I used the New Misti stamp tool to stamp a moose image from the D2BA Christmoose stamp set with Totally Black ink. With the Misti you can re-stamp if needed to get a perfect image. The tool also includes a large magnet to hold your paper in place and grid paper that coordinates with the laser-etched lid.

To save time, the Misti allows you to stamp multiples of your image in two different ways.
First, you can cut paper to the same size and just line it up at the corner, re-ink the stamp, and stamp each piece in the same spot. This would be great for making holiday cards!
The second way is to have a longer piece of paper (enough room for two images) and stamp once on each end. This works great for images you want to die cut or for sentiments.

This moose image is too cute and the D2BA stamp set includes a tiny "Hot Cocoa" sentiment that fits perfectly on to the mug. Now, you can use a stamp block and try to line it up on the cup and try to not mess up the stamping, or you can use the Misti to line up the sentiment right on to the stamped cup image. No guesswork or stress needed. If you need to re-stamp, you can without messing up your design.
(Look how tiny this stamp is and how easy it is to line up!)

After I was done stamping, I used the coordinating die set to cut the image out and started coloring. The D2BA Totally Black ink is awesome to use when coloring with markers since the ink will not smudge or bleed into the color. I wanted to keep the colors bright, and just love how the green and hot pink look together! I added white dots to resemble leggings.

The next step was to stamp a sentiment. Again, the Misti made this so easy to not only get a crisp sentiment but to have the option to re-stamp if needed without having shadowing. This sentiment is from the D2BA Cup of Cheer stamp set. This greeting worked great with the hot cocoa stamped mug!

For the card base, I created an Easel card. You can make this type of card in any size and no die or scoreboard is needed. All that is needed is two folds. Take your cardstock and fold it in half once. Next, fold one half in half. That is it, this will create the base of this fun interactive card!
(My card base is 8 1/2 x 4 1/4)

Dare 2B Artzy offers a wide variety of double-sided pattern paper and their Fall designs are my favorite! This colorful leaf design was cut to 4x4 and matted on sparkly gold glitter paper.  I also used the D2BA Wavy Square Framelits to add more detail. I like how turning the smallest wavy square gave it a completely different look.

To attach the center card to the card base, I added glue runner to the bottom section. It's important to only add adhesive to the bottom panel as shown below. If you glue and cover the whole half, your card will not pop up to create the easel fold.

To add more color to the inside, I layered another piece of the D2BA leaf pattern paper. This added tons of color and gave a pretty background for the sentiment. The sentiment was matted on matching gold paper and I used some ink blending to soften the bright white paper.

Lastly, I used foam tape to attach the sentiment and the moose image to the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying the Hop!
