Tasha here sharing a new card created with the lovely Build a Butterfly Set 1 and Shamrock Heart Stencil!
To begin the project, I used Pixie Spray to secure the stencil on the paper. I blended two shades of green Distress Oxide ink to give an ombre look to the shamrocks. Pixie Spray is amazing!
I created the butterfly by stamping the bottom layer with pink ink and used the Color Hive Eclipse Black Ink for the top layer. This black ink has great coverage and after it dries you are able to color without any smearing!
For some sparkle, I used the super pretty Sugar Sparkle Glitter and Crown Jewels (Limewired); love the way it pops against the hot pink ink! Kaleidoscope Powder (Neptune) was also layered over the shamrocks to give them a cool color-shifting look!
The sentiment was stamped with Color Hive Clear and embossing with a fine white powder. White embossing always looks great on black paper! The inside greeting was stamped in black ink to coordinate with the front sentiment.
To complete the card, I stamped the butterfly body directly on to the stenciled design and attached it to a 6x6 card base.
