Today I'm sharing with you a project created for the Dare 2B Artzy August Challenge and the theme this month is "Anything Goes".
I have always loved hot air balloons and wanted to create a card using this whimsical stamp from the Balloon Tangle set. I stamped the balloon with D2BA Totally Black ink and decided I wanted it to seem like it was floating through the sky, so I used my markers and white gel pen to color a pretty night sky background. I like that the balloon is not centered.
The sentiment "Life with you is an adventure" was also stamped with Totally Black ink and again is not centered. This is a single-layered top card and by off-centering the image and wording, it gives an appearance that they are layered on top of the sky.
Lastly, I added some aqua enamel dots and used a decorative punch for the corners before adhering it to a kraft card base. I love this colorful, yet simple design and can not wait to give it to my husband!
