Time to Dance!

Tasha here sharing a birthday card featuring the Art Impressions 6176-Exclusive Ballet Bear stamp. I have been loving all the little bear stamps and this ballet bear is perfect for a birthday card. To make my project more unique, I stamped the bear three times and created a stage; I love their colorful tutus!

For the coloring I used Copic Markers and drew the background with a black liner pen. I wanted a spotlight on each dancer, so I used a variety of yellow markers to look like lights were shining down on the them; I used the same shades on the tiny stars so everything blends together nicely.

Lastly, I attached gold glitter paper for sparkle, layers of purple and pink card stock, and a piece of Art Impression pattern paper. I thought the star print coordinated with the stars around the bears. I also stamped "To the Birthday Girl" with purple ink on a banner to complete the card.

Time to Dance!

Tasha here sharing a card created with the new 6116-Thinking of Home set from Art Impressions. I love cards that feature animals and this little sleeping kitty is just so cute; she looks like she is enjoying a cat nap on a warm Summer day. I also love the little blue bird!

To create the box card base, I used the 6121-Storybook Template die and selected a pretty piece of Art Impressions pattern paper from the 5955-Encouragement Paper Pack. The light colors in the pattern paper really frames the center design nicely.

Lastly, I colored all the images with Copic Markers before attaching them to the inside of the card base. The stamp set also includes all the dies and similar to the Art Impressions Matchbook sets, the images all have a scored tabs to allow each piece to fit perfectly together. I love building little scenes and this one is perfect to send to someone special any time of the year!

Boo to You!

Tasha here sharing a Halloween card featuring the sweet kitty cat ghost from the 6112-Pumpkin Parade Set from Art Impressions . I love all the cute trick or treaters in this set, but the cat ghost is my favorite!

The cat was colored with Copic Markers and used pattern paper from the sky and ground; I love mixing the prints! I also added a little spider and used a white gel pen to make it look like the spider is hanging from a web. 

To complete the card, I added purple plaid pattern paper and layers of orange, black, and white card stock to coordinate with the Halloween theme. I think this card is so fun and perfect to send to someone special this Fall season!

Boo to You!

Tasha here sharing a Halloween card inspired by the current Summerween Challenge! For my project I used the cute trick-or-treating bunny from the 6112-Pumpkin Parade Set from Art Impressions to create a simple Halloween night scene.

The bunny was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut her out and layered her on to the card with foam tape to give some dimension. Instead of coloring the background, I used a star stencil to add tons of glittery stars on to a dark blue sky. The stars a super sparkly in person and have a green almost glow-like look; I love all the stars!

To complete the card, I added Gold glitter paper for more sparkle, orange, purple and white card stock, and attached a ghost pattern paper layer to coordinate with the Halloween theme. I also added a fun "Boo To You" sentiment. I thought the greeting went perfectly with the ghost pattern paper.

Trick or Treat!

Tasha here sharing a Halloween card inspired by the current Art Impression Summerween Challenge. I love creating Fall and not-so-scary Halloween projects, and this challenge is the perfect excuse to pull out your cute Halloween/Fall stamp sets and make something fun!

For my card, I used the 6112-Pumpkin Parade Set to create this sweet trick-or-treating scene. The little pirate fox is adorable and I LOVE the ghost car! I also added the happy owl to bring even more Halloween fun to the design.

To create the background, I used pattern paper from the 5849-Halloween S2 Paper Pack. I love this print with all the Halloween words. It adds lots of color and interest without taking away from the stamped characters.

To finish the card, I layered black, orange, and gold colored cardstock. The circle topper with the "Trick or Treat!" greeting adds a fun focal point and adhered a little black enamel heart to give the card a little extra dimension.

Trick or Treat!

Christmas in July Challenge!

 Happy Friday friends! 

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the current Art Impressions Christmas in July Challenge.

I love making holiday cards and finding ways to use my everyday stamp sets for Christmas. For this card, I used the piggy from the 5180-Barnyard Animal Cubbies stamp set from Art Impressions and added a little Santa hat to make him holiday ready.

For the background scene, I used a stamp from the retired Sleigh Ride Circlet MTF set. I love the little wreath on the tree and the falling snow. It makes such a sweet winter scene.

I finished the card with pattern paper from the 6143-Woodland Christmas Paper Pack, layered it with red, gray, and white cardstock, and added a simple "Peace, Love & Joy" sentiment.

Christmas in July Challenge!

To the Birthday Girl Card

Tasha here, and today I’m sharing a birthday card inspired by the current Art Impressions  Enjoy the Ride Challenge. Art Impressions has so many fun vehicle-themed stamps, but I’ve always been drawn to this vintage truck design. One of my favorite details is the open window, which makes the perfect spot to add a little character. I chose a gnome for this card because I can never resist a cute gnome!

To give the truck a birthday theme, I stamped a sweet little dog and a bunch of balloons in the truck bed. The balloon images fit perfectly and add a fun, festive touch to the scene.

For the sentiment, I used “To the Birthday Girl” from the 5735-Birthday Sentiment Set. I layered it onto gold glitter paper for a bit of sparkle, which really helps the greeting stand out.

To finish the card, I added layers of pink, cream, and yellow cardstock along with a floral patterned paper. I also used Copic markers to create a simple country road background that ties everything together and completes the design.

To the Birthday Girl Card

Tasha here sharing a new birthday card created with the sweet Party Bear Freebie Stamp and 6178-Birthday Wishes Stamp Set from Art Impressions. The little freebie bears are all so cute, and this one is great for a birthday card or gift tag. I love his cute smile and the balloon!

For this little party scene, I stamped the bear and used masking paper before stenciling the brick wall background. I love the color pink and wanted this card to be bight and full of pink color, so I used a variety of shades to customize the design. I also added Distress Oxide ink around the edges of the center card to create a spotlight effect around the bear.

For the greeting, I stamped "Happy Birthday" from the 6178-Birthday Wishes Stamp Set. Instead of coloring in the letters completely, I used pink Copic Markers on the bottom and kept the tops white to give the words an ombre look. I also added little white accents with a white gel pen; I think it looks sparkly.

Lastly, I added layers of pink, orange, and white card stock and a piece of pink plaid pattern paper. I have been really into bright colors white pops of bright on my cards lately and pink and orange always look great together!

Happy Birthday!

Tasha here sharing a card created with the new 6203-Wisdom Set 1 and 6204-Wisdom Set 2 from Art Impressions. These sets are perfect for so many different projects, and the images can be used on their own or combined for completely different looks.

As soon as I looked through the stamps in Wisdom Set 1, I was drawn to the owl and jewels and knew I wanted to create something featuring both images. To make this scene, I stamped the owl first and covered him with masking paper before stamping the jewels. I also masked the jewels before stamping the large banner so it would sit nicely in the background. Masking paper is definitely one of my favorite crafting tools!

I usually reach for bright colors with lots of pink and white, but this time I wanted to try something a little different. I used shades of brown inspired by the owl and blended Distress Oxide inks around the center panel to give the card a soft vintage feel. For a little extra detail, I added a piece of Art Impressions patterned paper that worked perfectly with the colors and overall theme of the card.

To finish everything off, I stamped two sentiments from Wisdom Set 2. The longer sentiment fit beautifully across the banner, and the larger “Seek Wisdom” greeting was layered with the same tan and brown cardstock used throughout the design.

Egg-tremely Cute!

Tasha here sharing an egg-stra cute card created with the 5737-Bunny & Chicks Set, 6198-Flower Signage Set, and 6008-Bunny Hugs Set from Art Impressions .

To create this project, I started by stamping the center card with the Flower Signage stamp and added the "Egg-tremely Cute," greeting from the 6008-Bunny Hugs Set to the center of the sign. It fit perfectly! 

After, I drew in flowers and colored everything with Copic Markers. I used a black liner pen and white gel pen to add more details to the flowers.

I love little chicks, and this trio is just too adorable. To coordinate with the sentiment, I also added three eggs using the egg stamp from the Bunny Hugs Set. They work great to bring the whole scene together!

Lastly, I added layers of blue, yellow, and white cardstock, gold glitter paper for sparkle, and a piece of plaid pattern paper that I thought went well with the design.

Egg-tremely Cute!

Tasha here sharing a fun new card featuring the Freebie-Honey Bear and 6047-Scalloped Square Dies from Art Impressions . I love bee-themed cards and this sweet stamp is perfect for Spring! 

To create this card, I stamped the little bear on to a stitched square before ink blending the edges to bring in more color. I was inspired by the colors of the bee, so I added layers of black card stock, yellow plaid pattern paper, and used white for the largest scalloped frame. I love how the bright white shows the pretty edge and separates the darker colors.

For the greeting, I stamped "Bee Happy!" from the 5925-Honey Bee Set. This set has several greetings that can be used for year-round cards and projects. I also used two scalloped round dies to frame the greeting and coordinate with the scalloped squares.

Lastly, I attached layers of dark yellow and black card stock and another piece of pattern paper and attached three gold dots to complete the design.
